What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit it. They are often used to remember who you are, to keep you signed in, or to understand how a site is used. Similar technologies do the same kind of job. They include local storage and session storage in your browser, pixels, and, in mobile apps, information stored on your device, sign-in tokens, device identifiers, and software development kits (SDKs) provided by other companies.

This Cookie Policy covers cookies and similar technologies used by the Platform — the PAS CU PAS website (pascupas.app) (the "Platform website") and the PAS CU PAS Android app (the "Platform Android app"). It describes what exists today separately from what is planned.

This Cookie Policy is limited to cookies and similar technologies. It does not replace the Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information is collected and used, or any consent mechanism that may be required. Please read the two together.

What the Platform Website Uses Today

We checked the source code and the responses of the current Platform website, which consists of public information pages (the Handbook, Pricing, FAQ, How It Works, Contact, and legal pages). Based on that check:

  • The website does not set cookies;
  • The website does not use browser local storage or session storage;
  • The website does not use analytics, advertising, marketing, or crash-reporting tools;
  • The website does not embed third-party content such as videos, maps, or social-media widgets;
  • The website's fonts are served from the website itself and are not loaded from a third-party font service.

This reflects an inspection of the website's code and responses at the time of writing. It does not describe the Platform Android app, our servers, or functionality that is not yet part of the website.

Like any website, our hosting provider receives technical information (such as your IP address and the page requested) when pages are served. That is not a cookie; it is described in the Privacy Policy.

What Is Planned

The Platform is being developed to include authenticated accounts and financial functionality on the Platform website, such as sign-in, Challenge purchase and payment, Wallet management, referral-code entry at Challenge checkout, and withdrawal requests. These features are not part of the current website.

Features like these commonly need cookies or similar technologies to keep you signed in and to protect your account and payments. We have not finalised which technologies the Platform website will use for this. Before these features are made available, we will describe them in this Policy, with their names, providers, purposes, and durations.

The Platform Android App

The Platform Android app is a native app. Which cookies or similar technologies it uses — for example information stored on your device, sign-in tokens, device or advertising identifiers, or third-party SDKs — has not been established for this Policy, and this Policy does not say that the app uses none. The information the app collects is described in the Privacy Policy. Before the app is made available, we will describe the technologies it uses in this Policy.

We do not currently use analytics or marketing/advertising technologies on the website. If we introduce any non-essential technology, we will update this Policy first and put in place any consent mechanism required by applicable law.

Specific Cookies and Third Parties

No cookies are currently set by the website, so there is no list of specific cookies to publish. A table showing the name, provider, purpose, and duration of each cookie will be added before any is introduced.

Payments for Challenge purchases will be processed by our payment provider, Stripe, when Challenge checkout is available on the website. Stripe may set its own cookies or use similar technologies on its payment pages, in accordance with its own cookie and privacy policies.

Consent and Managing Cookies

No cookie consent banner or preference centre is currently implemented on the website. If we introduce cookies or similar technologies that require your consent, we will ask for it before using them.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse all cookies, accept only certain cookies, or delete cookies already stored on your device. Refusing strictly necessary cookies may affect the functioning of the website once accounts are introduced. On your Android device, you can manage app permissions and device identifiers through your device settings.

Changes to This Policy

We will update this Cookie Policy before introducing accounts, payments, or any non-essential cookie or similar technology. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Platform before the changes take effect.
